In 1950, Cancun was an island located in the uninhabited Caribbean and without development, inhabited by some makers of plantations of coconut with walnuts and some Mayan archaeological vestiges.
Cancun is a resort city belongs to Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo in the southeast of the country. Politically it is the head of the administrative area of Benito Juarez. It is surrounding waters the Caribbean Sea and is the axis of liaison with archaeological sites in the region, both from the state and the neighboring state of Yucatan.
Cancun soon became a unique tourist destination, as it provided incredible beaches facing the Caribbean Sea and a saltwater lagoon.
